In spite of the public's perception of our Police Dept. we are blessed with some really good dedicated officers. You may run into a few that have an attitude problem, or may seem rude at times, but it's the nature of the people that they deal with that makes them so.
ReplyDeleteThere are however some as in every group of people that really have no business wearing a badge. If you ever are confronted by one of these officers: Get a name. (If they hide their name tag, get a Badge number) It they wear the badge in such a way that you cannot read the number, get their vehicle number. Note the time and date. This will assist you in any disciplinary action you might want to pursue, and it can also help you in obtaining accident reports,(within a reasonable time frame)as well as copies of complaints that you may have reported. When an officer treats you with respect, do likewise. If when UNPROVOKED, they treat you disrespectfully, you have the right o file a complaint. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO DO SO!!!
