WILKES-BARRE - City police are investigating a burglary that took place at a Scott Street residence Saturday morning.
Michael Nadzan told police at 5:45 a.m. he was asleep in the bedroom when he heard a noise on the first floor. When he went to the living room he saw a man wearing an orange face mask and a black jacket and pants, who had gotten into the house by smashing out the rear porch door window pane and unsecuring the locks. When Nadzan confronted the suspect, the man demanded money. The suspect fled on foot with cash in hand. Police said a check of the area proved fruitless.

Police said a man entered the business around 4:30 p.m. Christmas Eve and threatened a clerk with a knife. The suspect was a white male with a tan jacket, black hooded sweatshirt and with facial hair. Reports indicate nothing was taken.
